PAS President's Statement On Bumiputera Rights Apt - Muhyiddin

PAGOH, Aug 7 (Bernama) 

 Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Mohd Yassin on Saturday described as apt the statement by PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang on the need to retain the rights and privileges of the Malays and bumiputeras, including the discount for purchase of commercial and residential properties.

Muhyiddin said Abdul Hadi would have surely made reference to the Federal Constitution although his statement might seem to be contrary to the stand of the opposition Pakatan Rakyat, of which PAS is a partner along with the DAP and Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR).

JKKK dilatih banteras kemiskinan dan gejala sosial

Anggota Jawatankuasa Kemajuan dan Keselamatan Kampung (JKKK) di kawasan Dewan Undangan Negeri Demak laut di sini akan dilatih untuk membantu membanteras masalah kemiskinan dan gejala sosial.

Sehubungan itu jurulatih sukarelawan akan dilantik untuk melatih mereka dalam menjalankan tugas tersebut di bawah program yang dinamakan Gerakbumi Demak Laut, kata Menteri Muda Pembangunan Perindustrian Sarawak, Dr Abang Abdul Rauf Abang Zen.

Sarawak To Undertake Muara Tebas Pilot Project Under Green Corridor Concept

KUCHING, Aug 4 (Bernama) 

The Sarawak Government will undertake a pilot project in Muara Tebas near here to develop a new satellite town under the Green Corridor concept within the 10th Malaysia Plan.

State housing and urban development minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg said the project -- part of the ministry's plan to improve public transport system and township planning -- would include the re-settlement of three nearby villages, including Senari and Sejingkat.

Abg Johari: Sarawak pursues green technology to tackle oil palm wastes

KOTA SAMARAHAN: Sarawak may soon come out with a state-of-the-art technology which can turn oil palm wastes into useful products.

Unimas, Pansar eQo Technology Sdn Bhd and Bellwether Agriculture Pte Ltd of Australia have come together to create this new technology.  

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the three parties at Unimas here yesterday, in the presence of Minister of Housing and Urban Development Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg.  The signatories were Unimas vice chancellor Professor Dr Khairuddin Abdul Hamid, Bellwether Agriculture managing director Chris Davidson and the chief executive officer of Pansar eQo Technology Sdn Bhd Jason Tai.
